Economics has approximately 250 students each semester and lecturers with doctoral degrees teaches and pursue research mainly in Labor economics, Public economics, Environmental and Resource economics and Econometrics. Teaching and research at the department also involve researchers at the Centre for Environmental and Resource Economics (CERE).
